Radioactive Boy Scout – In 1998 David Hahn spent his summer collecting radioactive material in an attempt to build a breeder reactor. This didn’t end well, but David did reach Eagle Scout status. His story was captured by Ken Silverstein in a 1998 issue of Harper’s Magazine.

Paul Martin developed the Blitzkrieg Hypothesis also known as the overkill theory. This theory attempts to explain the sudden demise of large mammal populations on different continents with the arrival of humans. This theory has since lost traction and credibility.
